Daycare Doctor can help with the new Self Evaluation Form (SEF). The form has been formatted in such a way as to help nurseries and schools briefly summarise their evaluations. The forms emphasis is placed on ‘justifying as concisely as possible the grades which the school decides it merits’. The SEF is not intended to be used to list all of the nursery or school’s evidence.

The SEF is intended to mirror the list of judgements used by inspectors when visiting a site. Nurseries and schools are strongly encouraged to use the grade descriptors in this document when doing their self-evaluation. This will help identify any areas that need addressing before any formal visit or inspection takes place.

The blank form alone runs to over 40 pages so there is a lot of information to gather and compile. Daycare Doctor can provide help and guidance to clients who need assistance and clarification on what they need to do when filling out their SEF.

You can be assured of confidentiality when working with Daycare Doctor. Please ask for more details on 0208 979 8444 or email doctor@daycaredoctor.co.uk.
